A lot of slasher movies have plenty of gore, so much so that they require an official “Blood Chef” on set. For the campy film, Kids Vs Aliens, Jesse Stewart was the Blood Chef, and he had his work cut out for him if this featurette is any indication. Sure there’s your usual green alien goo, yes, but this film also has some black, icky blood(?) and other colored viscera in use. It’s all very viscous and extremely yucky! Just as it’s meant to be.
If you don’t like seeing how gross things are made, don’t watch this video! If you’re a sicko like me, however, the clip is a fun behind-the-scenes look at how film and television create all the icky substances that are often thrown at beleaguered actors. (Spoiler: Nesquick is a major ingredient; who knew?!) In the case of Kids Vs Aliens, it’s primarily a group of kids who get gacked on by some invading extraterrestrials when they’re just trying to have a fun weekend.

All Gary wants is to make awesome home movies with his best buds. All his older sister Samantha wants is to hang with the cool kids. When their parents head out of town one Halloween weekend, an all-time rager of a teen house party turns to terror when aliens attack, forcing the siblings to band together to survive the night.
The movie (which has a trailer here) is directed by Jason Eisener (Hobo With a Shotgun) and written by Eisener and John Davies. It stars Dominic Mariche, Phoebe Rex, and Calem MacDonald as the kids just trying to have a good time when aliens attack.
